verano... y de vuelta al trabajo

Hola a todos, espero que estén bien! Bueno, enero ya se fue y estamos casi a mediados de febrero, Dios mío, el tiempo vuela de una manera increible! Ya he vuelto al trabajo con la máquina de coser reparada, por fin!! Contenta de estar de vuelta, pero también veo que este tiempo ha sido muy bueno... no me daba cuenta que necesitaba de verdad un descanso después de la temporada de Navidad en mi tienda :-) Así que el incidente de la máquina de coser tuvo su lado positivo, porque ahora estoy mucho más fresca y con nuevas fuerzas y un montón de ideas.  Ya hay algunos bolsos nuevos en la tienda, y estoy trabajando en algunos más que espero tener listos para marzo. 
Aquí les dejo algunas fotos del mes pasado que fuimos a la playa un par de veces, y algunas de nuevos productos que podeis ver en mi tienda y el la de mi madre, knittingwinters.

esta semana

Hola amigos! Esta semana pasada fue de mucho trabajo porque hice y envié todos los encargos que llegaron mientras estábamos en España para Navidad. Tengo la sensación de que pasaron seis meses desde Navidad en vez de ni siquiera uno, no te pasa lo mismo? La semana que viene estaremos otra vez de vacaciones, nos vamos al sur de Argentina a pasar unos días con parte de mi familia. Acabamos de volver de España, pero como es verano aquí en el hemisferio sur, nos vamos una semana :-) Así que todos los encargos de la semana próxima, se enviarán cuando vuelva.  

Tuve un pedido de una amiga, que ha sido el punto de partida para mejorar el cierre de los bolsos. La nueva versión estará pronto disponible en la tienda. Durante las vacaciones voy a aprovechar la calma de no tener que coser para pensar un poco en el trabajo...tengo que organizarme para la nueva colección que tengo en mente, cosa que no puedo hacer mientras estoy trabajando en pedidos. 

Respecto a la nueva máquina de coser, voy a tomar las clases de manejo cuando vuelva. He preguntado por ese ruido que hace constantemente, y me dijeron que no me preocupe, que es normal. Bueno, normal... normal porque es nueva, por suerte va a ir siendo más silenciosa con el uso.

máquina de coser nueva!!

Hola amigos! 
Me alegro de presentarles a mi nueva máquina de coser, que llegó el viernes pasado! Pesa 80 kgs, y los que la trajeron casi se mueren subiéndola al tercer piso... con el calor que hacía, los pobres se tomaron dos vasos de agua cada uno antes de irse!  
Tengo que ir a la tienda a hacer un curso para manejarla bien y sacarle partido, me da que esto va a ser como saber montar en bici y de repente tener que conducir un camión. Es tan rápida que no se como voy a hacer para que las costuras me salgan rectas, ja, ja, me siento como una niña de 5 años frente a un nuevo mundo. También tengo que asegurarme en la tienda que todo está bien, porque cuando la enciendo empieza a hacer ruido como si fuera un avión a punto de despegar. No puede ser normal...y si resulta que sí es normal, me voy a tener que mudar a un barrio industrial, je, je. No, no va a ser para tanto, la máquina era silenciosa cuando la probé antes de comprarla. 
Esta va a ser una semana de mucho trabajo... espero que tengáis una buena semana por allí!

Año nuevo, blog nuevo! finalmente aquí está la versión de mi blog en español para mis amigos y familia hispanoparlantes, y para cualquier navegante por la web que me encuentre en español :-) 
La idea no es hacer dos blogs con contenidos distintos (no creo que me de la vida ni la imaginación) sino ir publicando en los dos lo mismo, cada uno con su idioma. Me alegro de poder escribir en español también, porque aquí voy a poder expresarme con mi manera de hablar "normal", cosa que en inglés no siempre me sale :)
En cuanto a la tienda, la iré traduciendo poco a poco, un poquito más de paciencia, por favor! Un abrazo, espero que la semana marche bien!

christmas wishes

Hi, Friends! Christmas is only three weeks away! So this weekend is the best one to write Christmas wishes greeting friends and family. I love writting my greeting cards, because I´m really thinking on what I truly wish for the people I love...and for the whole world! Things like peace on earth, love, and joy to the world ... are things that can seem utopical sometimes,  but writting them on a note to somebody is a great chance to remeber they are so real and they really matter. It always happens to me in this season that I truly want to remember that saying of "the more important things in life are not things".

Hi! I´ve been making some order yesterday and now I have this fabrics where I can see them. I want to sew them as soon as I have the chance (and before summer ends here!). Usually when I have a fabric I don´t wait to sew it, but this time was different because we moved in July from north summer to south winter...so they are still waiting :-)

1. Blue cotton fabric with white butterflies, I bought it in Buenos Aires, while visiting family. 

2, 3. Blue and white stripes and the one from the right, I bought them in Madrid, in Rives y Casals. If you ever go to Madrid, that shop is amazing for sewing lovers. You can visit their web page by clicking here. 

4, 5. Multicolor triangles, and blue with white flowers, I´ve bought them on Etsy, in the shop "The Delhi Store". The quality is amazing, I´ve washed them to avoid size changes after sewing and they did not loose a even bit of color. You can visit that shop by clicking here.

6. Beige background with flowers. Is a birthday gift from my mother, she bought it on Etsy too, in the shop "SonSu". Love the quality and texture of this fabric. You can visit this shop by clicking here.

Hi Folks! 
Yesterday I´ve listed in the shop the bag you can see in the picture in burgundy and off white...and then I realised I definitely want one for my personal use next winter! I would love to combine it with my "never stop wearing" burgundy shoes (Camper) and beige wool jacket (Benetton). People says is better having accessories in neutral colors, to be able to combine them easyly...it sounds reasonable! But in my case, when I have something I like, I combine it with everything for years and becomes my "never stop wearing" :-)

Incredible but true, December is here! 

Last week literally went away without notice. Time should settle down a bit! December should be a good moment to settle down, because of Christmas and the end of another year. Crazy month plenty of things to do, but really deserves to be apreciated! Hope you enjoy this great month!

a little up date

Hi Friends!! Happy Monday and new week! Hope you´ve had a great weekend. Last week has been pretty busy here, sewing and more sewing! I´m making new items for the shop that hope I´ll be listing soon, and also sewing some orders to be shipped. I have many new ideas for new bags... I would like to add some backpacks to the shop and also some smaller bags. 
My sewing machine is behaving well, but is making some strange noises :( I think I´m forcing it a bit...too much work for a tiny machine...may be after Christmas I can invest in another one bigger and sturdier.

home sweet home

Hi Friends! Hope you are ok! I´ve been away this week, visiting my family in Argentina. We´ve had great family time, with spring days, blue skies and flowers everywhere. Feeling home there, and also here now that I´m back in Chile.  
Here I give you some "home feeling" pictures, and one I´ve made while we were flying over The Andes. It was such an amazing view that it´s almost a crime showing that pic here, it doesn´t illustrate almost anything, nature can be just amazing! 
I´ve used my cinnamon brown waxed canvas tote for the trip, and it worked great:  so comfortable to use, really roomy and sturdy!
